Zoë Brooks is a contemporary visual artist and creative producer living and working on Kaurna Yarta. Her arts practice centres socially engaged, long-form art projects that build participatory structures for complex social, environmental and creative dialogue.

Working within the self-coined genre of “Folk Performative,” her work takes the form of wearable sculpture and performative photographic documentary, with artistic outcomes emerging through collective experience and collaborative making.

She reclaims the visual language of folk art, working in collaboration with experts, agencies and communities to document a rapidly changing world and tell the stories our planet most needs us to hear.
